VinAir Mat

DESIGN:

VinAir shower matting is the “younger brother” to our VinGrate runners. It is made from the same material that can withstand direct sunlight. Unlike VinGrate, VinAir is constructed using hollow treads, making it lighter and a bit more economical at approximately 0.77 lb per square foot (about 3.8 kg per square meter). It is still heavy enough that larger pieces remain stable on most surfaces due to their weight. For example, a 3 ft × 5 ft piece of this matting will weigh over 10 lb and will not be easy to kick out of place.

VinAir has a more aggressive surface texture than most of our shower mats. Some users may find it slightly less soft under bare feet compared to VinGrate, but the textured surface provides maximum traction and helps minimize the risk of slip-and-fall accidents.
The bottom is constructed from the same treads in the same color, spaced farther apart for drainage, with approximately 1" distance between them (about 1.25" center-to-center, as shown in the diagram above).

CUSTOMIZATION:

Max Size – Length:
This product is manufactured in 39 ft long rolls. The maximum mat length we can provide is therefore limited by the full roll length. To form a clean finished edge, we slice the mat along the perpendicular bottom treads. The actual mat length may vary by up to approximately 0.5".

Max Size – Width:
We stock these locker room mats in 3 ft and 4 ft widths. We can cut narrower pieces from these widths, but pricing is based on the full roll width. In most cases, widths beyond 4 ft are not required, but wider coverage can be achieved by attaching multiple pieces side by side with zip ties (cable ties). Using a zip tie every 10" or less and locking them underneath the mat creates a good-looking seam. We do not sell zip ties, as they are widely available and can be found in colors that closely match most mat colors.

Custom shapes:
We sell VinAir only in rectangular shapes. If you need a non-rectangular layout, we recommend purchasing a piece slightly larger than the area you wish to cover and cutting it down on site. At room temperature, VinAir (like most of our mats) is soft and easy to cut with a utility knife (avoid break-away blades). Use the knife to make cuts to accommodate fixtures and pipes.

Colors:
We stock VinAir shower mats in blue, black, gray and tan. We can have them manufactured in almost any color with a minimum order of three full rolls per color. Lead time may be several months; we require 100% prepayment for these custom-colored runners.

MAINTENANCE:

VinAir mats can be cleaned with the same solutions and chemicals you use to clean your showers. For tougher stains or residue, a stiff brush may be required. These mats can also be washed with a pressure washer. If using a pressure washer capable of more than 1500 PSI, keep the nozzle at least 12" away from the mat.
