Unlike traditional rubber drainage mats, VinTread uses a rigid PVC tread design that enhances durability and provides a safe, slip-resistant surface. The rigid top treads deliver consistent performance in saunas, showers, pool decks, locker rooms and other wet spaces. When exposed to direct sunlight in extremely hot climates, these mats may absorb heat, making them uncomfortable to walk on and potentially causing color fading, so shaded or indoor locations are preferred.

• Sizes: Supplied in 2 ft x 39 ft and 3 ft × 39 ft rolls and cut to your specified length. Width cannot be adjusted. It is possible to cut through the top treads, but using a saw will usually leave a rough edge.

VinTread – a comfortable and economical option for areas where water needs to drain away.   DESIGN: VinTread features rigid treads a little over 1" wide with a ribbed texture on top, joined by flexible vinyl ribbons on the bottom. The rigid plastic treads provide support while the bottom ribbons keep the mat together and allow it to be rolled up when needed. VinTread is more appropriate for indoor use. If used outdoors, we recommend placing it only in shaded areas. Direct sunlight may cause discoloration, and the dense treads can absorb heat, making the surface uncomfortable to walk on with bare feet.   CUSTOMIZATION: Max size – length: The maximum length of a piece is limited by the standard roll length of 39 ft. Because the top treads are rigid and difficult to cut, the actual length of a cut piece may vary by up to about 0.75". If you find your mat slightly too long for your application, the bottom ribbons are easy to slice through. You can cut one or more treads off to shorten the mat and achieve a better fit. Max size – width: We stock this shower matting only in 3 ft wide rolls. The treads are difficult to slice through, but it is possible to saw them and then break them off after making a shallow incision on the top surface. This usually results in an unfinished edge that is not very attractive. If that works for your situation, it is an option; otherwise, it may be better to consider another product that is easier to cut to width. Custom shapes: Because the treads are not intended to be cut, VinTread is effectively limited to rectangular shapes. Colors: Standard colors are blue, grey and brown. Custom colors are possible only with a minimum order of 20–30 full rolls and an approximate lead time of several months.   MAINTENANCE: VinTread mats can be cleaned with the same solutions or chemicals you use for showers. For more stubborn stains or residue, a stiff brush may be necessary. The mats can also be washed with a pressure washer. If you are using a pressure washer capable of more than 1500 PSI, keep the nozzle at least 12" away from the mat.
