VinWave Mini Mat 1/4"

DESIGN:
VinWave Mini is made from extruded vinyl ribbon arranged in a wave pattern between parallel support ribbons of the same material. Because of its S-shaped profile, this type of shower mat is often called an “S-mat.” Ribbons can be manufactured in different widths and thicknesses, which affects overall mat thickness (for example, our 1/4" version versus a 1/2" version shown for comparison).


Varying the ribbon thickness also changes the feel and performance of the mat. Thinner ribbons use less material, which can reduce cost and shipping weight. However, there are trade-offs with very thin or low-density S-mats:

• Less material to hold the mat together, making it more prone to tearing—especially in larger, heavier pieces.
• Less support under bare feet, with thin ribbon edges pressing into the foot and feeling less comfortable.
• Lighter mats can be less stable on the floor surface.

CUSTOMIZATION:

Max size – length:
The standard roll length for VinWave Mini is 39 ft (approximately 12 m), so the maximum runner length is 39 ft. In practice, very long pieces are seldom required, and large single sections can be difficult to move due to weight. Whether shipped as a full roll or a cut piece, ends are supplied as unfinished straight cuts:



Max size – width:
We currently stock VinWave Mini in a 3 ft width. Wider product would require a custom run with a 20-roll minimum and a lead time that can extend up to several months. Cutting widths under 3 ft is not a problem; we can cut narrower mats, but you are billed for the full 3 ft width, and those cuts will create an additional unfinished side edge.




Custom shapes:
We will cut only rectangular shapes. However, at room temperature these mats are easy to cut on site. Using a utility knife with a new, solid blade (no breakaway blades) or a pair of large scissors, you can trim the mat to fit around pipes, fixtures or irregular room layouts.

Colors:
VinWave Mini is stocked in grey, blue and tan. Other colors are possible with a minimum order of 20 or more rolls and a long lead time.


Cleaning:
Lifting the mat and rinsing it with a garden hose will handle most routine cleaning. For residue that does not rinse off, use a stiff bristle brush and/or a cleaner suitable for shower surfaces. VinWave Mini can also be cleaned with a pressure washer. If you use a pressure washer capable of 2000 PSI or more, keep the nozzle 12" or more away from the mat to avoid damage.
