Kennel Flooring

Durable, easy-to-clean flooring solutions for dog kennels, rabbit crates, goat pens, shower tubs, and animal platforms—indoor or outdoor.

Over the years, we’ve seen our vinyl matting and interlocking drainage tiles used in a wide range of animal enclosures, from outdoor dog kennels and indoor rabbit crates to goat pens and shower platforms. These mats are lightweight, easy to clean, and designed to resist liquid absorption—unlike some rubber alternatives. Their open-grid construction provides efficient multi-directional drainage to help floors dry quickly and stay sanitary.

VinGrate

VinGrate comes in 3' and 4' roll widths—perfect for lining kennel floors with minimal seams. The solid top and bottom treads make it more rigid than standard mats, while built-in indentations on the underside ensure excellent drainage in all directions.

VinTile

VinTile interlocking tiles measure 11.75" x 11.75" and connect easily to cover areas of any size. They can be glued together with vinyl cement for permanent installations. These rigid tiles weigh approximately 1.25 lbs per square foot, giving them excellent stability. They’re UV-tested and hold up well outdoors—perfect for exposed kennels or animal platforms. Optional borders and corners are available and should be glued in place for secure installation.

Important Considerations

Chewing

Bored animals may attempt to chew the mat. For safety, use mats that extend beyond the kennel floor so the cage can sit on top and block access to edges. If there's any risk of the dog pulling or chewing the mat, secure it with zip ties or remove it when unsupervised.

Hollow Tread Mats

Mats like VinAir and VinTube have hollow treads which can trap non-water liquids—avoid these if using the mat for urine, food waste, or chemicals. For shower platforms, however, they are suitable.

Dense Patterns

Mats with very tight drainage patterns may trap debris and are harder to clean. Choose mats with larger drainage holes for easier maintenance with a garden hose.

Absorbent Materials

Do not use mats made of absorbent foam or open-cell materials in kennels. Our recommended drainage mats are non-absorbent, easy to clean, and do not retain liquids.
